When you have completed the CAPM application simply call PMI and ask them to create a membership record from your CAPM application data. This will save you time.Next, complete your CAPM application, submit it, and wait about 3 business days. PMI will reply with an acceptance email that your application for the CAPM Exam has been accepted. The next step will be to pay for your CAPM Test. If you pre-paid through Red Rock simply forward your acceptance email to Contact@RedRockResearch.com and include your full name as it appears on your government issued ID card (drivers license) you intend to use at the testing center to identify yourself. It must match exactly. Also please send the email address you use to correspond with PMI. Red Rock will pay for your CAPM test and you'll immediately receive another email from PMI containing a PearsonVue code. Go to www.PearsonVue.com and locate a testing center in your area. Copy and paste the PearsonVue code from the email into the www.PearsonVue.com website to secure your testing slot in your area.

Our Optional Passing Guarantee
Our primary objective is to get you past your CAPM Test
Make no mistake about it--even though Red Rock has an excellent optional passing
guarantee, we work VERY HARD to get our participants past their tests. We have
put thousands of hours into course development and we choose trainers with
substantial industry experience to present content with real-world examples so
that you can understand it quicker.
In addition, we have developed our Pass-Assurance Technology (see below) to help
you understand when you are ready to take your CAPM Exam.
Optional 100% Money-back Pass Guarantee
|
|
If you purchase the optional guarantee,
you will be covered as follows:
- After your CAPM training is complete, ff you don't pass your test on attempt #1,
we will pay for your second attempt. If you don't pass on your second attempt,
we will pay for your third attempt. If you don't pass on your third attempt, we
will refund ALL of your money, except for the tests we have paid for in your
behalf. You even get to keep the course-ware.
- In order to qualify for the guarantee, you must read the PMBOK CAPM
certification book we send you, be present in the training class every day,
score within the safe zone on our simulator, and take the test within three
weeks of completing the CAPM training course.
|
How can we do this?
We do this with Pass-Assurance Technology. Specific only to Red Rock
course attendees, we have developed an evidence-based benchmark, based on our
simulator-test scores from past attendees, that lets you know how you measure up
against others who have passed the test on the first try.
Now you can know when you are finished studying and are ready to pass your
CAPM Test. This is a huge time-saving benefit available only to Red Rock course
attendees.
Compare Guarantees
We know you have a choice when selecting your CAPM Exam Prep course provider.
Be careful because not all exam prep guarantees are equivalent. Read the fine
print from other providers and be sure they don't contain 'processing fees' or
'administration fees' which they withhold from you. Red Rock we refund every
penny to you, minus the tests we have paid for in your behalf.
Preparing for the CAPM Certification Boot Camp Training Class
Our learning model is based on the assumption that you have not studied any CAPM test material prior to coming to the training class. In class, we provide all of the materials needed to learn the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Framework which the CAPM test is based on.
For best results, dress comfortably. Most people wear business casual, or jeans and a nice shirt. Feel free to use a laptop for taking notes, but most people don't do this. Sufficient white space and a notebook are included to there is plenty of room for taking notes.
Be sure to plan ahead so you are not distracted by work emails or text messages. Red Rock recommends you turn your phones off during class and turn them back on during the breaks. We have 5 minute breaks at the top of each hour.
Where in Florida to Take Your CAPM Exam
For a list of testing centers in the Florida area, visit www.PearsonVue.com and specify the city (JACKSONVILLE) and the Project Management Institute's CAPM Exam from the list of tests. The PearsonVue website lists official testing centers in or near Florida. Most PearsonVue testing centers are associated with a local University, Community College, or Trade School. As such, the testing centers open and close in alignment with their school semesters and breaks. At any given time you might see only some listed. Check back later and you might see a slightly different list. Also, be aware that testing slots change frequently. If you don't see a convenient test slot in or near JACKSONVILLE , check back in a few days and you will likely see a different set of options. At the test center, you will not be allowed to bring in your watches, calculators, food, or any other paraphernalia. A calculator app will be provided on the Windows Desktop for your use during the test. The test center does allow bio breaks during the test, but the clock does not stop ticking. For best results, don't drink a lot of water before the test begins.PMI requires 2 forms of photo identity at the testing center to take the CAPM test. One must be a government issued ID such as a drivers license, or a passport. The other can be a employee ID, a Cosco Membership, Gym Membership, or any other photo ID you have.
Preparing for your CAPM Test Day
Schedule your test in the morning if possible. People can think best in the morning.
Be sure to get a good nights sleep before the test. Sleep effects compound. Two or three good nights sleep are better than just one. Try to get several good nights sleep before taking your CAPM Test.
The morning of the exam eat a high carb & fat breakfast. Carbs and fat are excellent brain food. Get a greasy cheeseburger, or a traditional American breakfast with toast, bacon, eggs, etc., for best results. This will lubricate your neurons and get them primed for the challenge.
Chew gum up until you can take the test. The test center employees may ask you to get rid of your gum, and that's OK. Research has show that chewing gum relaxes the individual and puts them in a state where they are much more equipped to handle a test.
Be happy! Research has shown that happy people do better on tests than tense, or unhappy test takers. Buy yourself a small gift or do something memorable with a family member just before taking the test. Research has also shown that thinking of a happy memory also calms a test-taker and produces the same result as being happy.
Strategies for Passing the CAPM Test
To be equipped and ready for the CAPM Exam, we recommend the following training strategy:
1. Attend our CAPM Test Prep Boot Camp Class 2. Read the PMBOK 3. Pass our CAPM Test Simulator 4. Memorize the Earned Value Formulas. (we do this in class) 5. Learn how to sequence activities. (we do this in class) 6. Learn to re-produce the process step followed in the creation of the Project Management Plan (we do this in class) 7. Learn the answers to the summary questions at the end of each section we discuss in class. 9. Learn the 5 Process Groups and 10 Knowledge areas that comprise the PMBOK (we do this in class) 10. Be able to describe every process step in the PMBOK Framework (we do this in class)
How to Study for the CAPM Exam Much research has been done on to how to study. Here are some important elements that embody good study habits.
1. The best time to study is right after waking up (your mind is fresh), and right before going to bed (you brain indexes what you were just doing). 2. Good sleep patterns compliment good study habits. Studies show students who study, sleep, study, sleep do better than those who just study for a long period of hours before taking a test. 3. Revisit all study materials at least five times, at least six hours apart from each other. 4. Don't forget to go back and revisit the easy material. Some students quickly pass through the easy material and then spend the remainder of their time on the hard stuff. Be sure to go back and revisit the easy stuff, too. 5. Assume you are studying to teach the material to someone else. Create a simple 'lesson plan' outline of all of the content, as of you were going to present it. Find someone and present it to them. 6. Once you have been exposed to all of them material, hour-per-hour, the best study technique is to use test simulator questions. 7. Use the 'Oracle Study Technique' where you are the broker of knowledge between the test question and the source of knowledge. Work the simulator questions and if you don't know the answer look it up from the source of knowledge (Oracle). 8. If you can write it down, you know it. If you can't quite write it down, you haven't learned it yet.
